Magnetic stripe card technology requires two types of readers: magnetic stripe card reader-writers to record or inscribe data on tracks of magnetic stripe cards, and the most common, magnetic card reader that serves simply to read (but not record) the contents of the cards.

Magnetic stripe cards have three tracks or levels of information. There are projects that only use some of the tracks: just record some of them; other projects may need three-track universal recorders.

Also, there are two types of magnetic strips: the HiCo high coercivity and the LoCo low coercivity. Our reader-recorders allow you to record in both. Our readersallow you to read both.
