Eighty-one per cent of Spanish companies see electronic communication to be necessary for doing business, according to a new survey from market analysts ICR Network Spain.
Having surveyed 60 Spanish companies regarding their electronic business practices, ICR found that 88 per cent of them used the services of an external provider for some of their electronic communication and that a further 85 per cent of them use more than one company for such services.

The most commonly purchased services are website design at 73 per cent, multimedia at another 73 per cent, and intranet or extranet solutions at 42 per cent.

The survey also found that the least sought services were any sort of e-commerce services and online education.

Not surprisingly, felt that the main reason to use electronic services was to increase sales, followed by the need to improve the company’s image and to improve communication with customers.

The analysts also found that companies choose service providers based on their professional attitude (65 per cent), price and value (54 per cent), creativity (46 per cent), post-delivery service (42 per cent) and by recommendation (31per cent).
