DataCenterTechnologies, a Belgian provider of data protection software, has raised €3.3 million in its first round as an independent company. It was spun off from Belgian-based Dedigate, a Benelux provider of dedicated managed hosting solutions, in the summer of 2002. NIB Capital Private Equity and Big Bang Ventures co-led this round, with NeSBIC CTE Fund, KBC Securities, Partech International, TrustCapital Technologies, as well as Marc Devis and Philippe Janssens.
The funds will be used to build out DataCenterTechnologies' sales and marketing infrastructure, its distribution channel and the appropriate infrastructure to support its customers and partners.

The company also strengthened its management team by appointing Marc Devis joins as Executive Chairman and Philippe Janssens as COO. Devis will assist the company in setting up international distribution, resale and OEM partnerships while Janssens will create the appropriate infrastructure to support the company’s growth.
