China, new markets target for Digital ID and Digital Cash

BRUSSELS.- Kalysis selected by ABChina, 'a Business Primer to Market Opportunities in China' to participate to a one-week commercial mission to Beijing.

The objective of ABChina project is to increase access to market opportunities in the largest among the fastest growing emerging economies of the developing world, that is to say, the Chinese one. Taking advantage of the successful EuroChina 2002 Event, held in April 2002, and following it up, it will help fifty innovative European companies to establish long-lasting research and business partnerships with Chinese counterparts.
ABChina started by selecting, after an open call, fifty innovative European companies wishing to establish a long-term relationship with Chinese partners. Then, the selected companies will be interviewed and coached to prepare commercial missions to China.

Further to this preparatory phases actual visits to key pre-selected potential Chinese partners (entrepreneurs, researchers, public administrators, etc.) will be carried out. A delegation of members of ABChina partners will accompany all the organised visits.

Finally, a (public) report on the experiences and (confidential) individual recommendations to the selected companies will be drawn up. A commercial service based on the experience learned in the project will be set up and presented by the end of the initiative. The project, due to start on Oct. 1st 2002, will last 15 months. The project is fully funded by the European Commission through the International Cooperation unit of the Information Society Technologies (ICT) programme.
