In spite of Monday (June 9) being a national holiday in a big part of Europe, investors picked up the pace and invested a total of €53.5 million. The software sector took 50 percent spread over three deals. The biggest funding, €16.7 million, went in a second round to the Swedish open source database management company, MySQL. Two French companies, Xiring and RealEyes 3D both secured their first round of financing.
