Poor English can let down any company that is trying to make a mark in the international business community. However exciting your product or service you have to communicate your image and the benefits you offer effectively. And to be effective you have to use the world’s business language as confidently and competently as you use your own.

To help companies in the Spanish community to raise their game in international markets Kalysis has teamed up Via Knowledge. Via is run by Irish-based editor and writer Haydn Shaughnessy. Haydn’s work has appeared in the Wall St Journal as well as leading business magazines and journals such as Long Range Planning. He has worked as an editor for John Wiley and Sons and produced TV programmes for all the major British TV channels.

Under the agreement Via will provide a range of communications’ services through Kalysis. These will include:

 Bid and proposal writing
 Writing articles, conference materials, and marketing collateral
 Writing press releases
 Copy editing translations
 Scripting video and multimedia communications

Kalysis CEO, Diego Antona announcing the partnership said:

“Even small errors in the use of English can affect a client’s perceptions of our companies. We want not just to get our communications in English right, we aspire to excellence in everything we do. Working with Via means we can assure our partners and friends in the Spanish community high quality English language communications for press releases, conference materials, proposal and bid writing and even video and other multimedia communications. We are delighted to form this partnership.”

Haydn Shaughnessy drew attention to the bias against non-English speakers: “We’re keen to help companies that operate in the Spanish language to excel through their English language communications. We’ve seen over the years how the market can be biased against talented companies simply because their English is not up to scratch. Let’s change that. Let’s help level the playing field.
