On June 2, 2004 the annual general assembly of LOGiCO Smart Card Solutions AG took place. Apart from the endorsement of the annual accounts for 2003, an additional planned increase of capital was decided. The former number of shares of 1,113.836 was increased by 350.000 to 1,463.835. This capital increase has already been successfully accomplished and registered in the register of companies with June 17, 2004.
Venture 4 Business Beteiligungs AG, venture capital arm of the Austrian Volksbanken Gruppe, remains majority owner as before. The company’s chairman and CEO, Wolfgang P. Kalny, holding about 6 % of the shares so far, increased his commitment in the course of the capital increase to 22 %.
About LOGICO Smart Card Solutions AG - based in Voesendorf, Austria, is a technology start-up developing software solutions in the field of secure user authentication in different IT environments. It plays a leading role in the emerging areas of "electronic signatures" and "encryption technologies". The company has 20 employees on its payroll and plans a turnover of some € 3,000.000 in 2004.
