Solo que la competencia está durísima, considerando que hay trabajos excelentes de diseñadores web (que a eso se dedican!!!...)pero bueno, al menos la nominación ya es buena :), comentó Alberto.

Para los que no están familiarizados con Netdiver.net, es el segundo portal de diseño más visitado del mundo (entre 10 y 14 Millones, si millones, de visitas al mes).

Alberto has worked as external consultant for different North American companies including Nike. He gained some of his experience at major automotive-design studios such as Pininfarina (Italy), Johnson Controls Advanced Design (Germany) and Volkswagen Design (Mexico). He worked in Mexico for the firm Tecnoidea, developing public transportation projects from concept to production.

Over the last 4 years of his career (including his Master studies), he has been developing brand identity-oriented projects, such as: Sport items, Private and Public Vehicles, Fashion accessories, Furniture and Consumer Electronics. During these years he has been learning Advanced Design methods both with the European and North American experiences.

His work has been featured in international design books (such as "Sport Design" from TeNeues publishing, and "Websites" from Feierabend publishing), as well as in several international design magazines such as Auto&Design (Italy), Form (Sweden), Interior Motives (UK), and others. He has been awarded in international design competitions, such as “Timex 2154, The future of time”, “Core77 Design Challenge 2”, “Stone Design Contest, IED Milan 1999”, amongst others; plus recognition from major design web-portals (Netdiver.net, DesignTaxi.com, Core77.com).

He obtained a Bachelor Degree in Industrial Design from UNAM (Mexico) and a Masters Degree in Transportation Design from Umea University (Sweden).

He is fluent in Spanish, English and Italian, with a basic understanding of Swedish. In 2000 he received the Medal “Gabino Barreda”, given to the best student of each major at UNAM, Mexico. And in 2002 he was awarded as Honorary Member of the National Association of Research in Didactics, of Spain.

Alberto also has been invited lecturer in Mexican Universities (UNAM, Universidad Iberoamericana, Tecnológico de Monterrey, Universidad del Valle de Mexico, Universidad La Salle del Bajío), as well as participating in collective exhibitions and experimental projects in various countries (Sweden, Spain, Colombia and Mexico), both traveling and through virtual communities.
