As reported by the Ministry of Development and Housing of the Junta de Andalucía in a statement, the metropolitan area with the highest number of cards in operation during 2013 was Seville, with a total of 477,240 units, which implies a growth of 12, 3 percent ; followed by the urban agglomeration of Malaga, with a total of 176,389 titles and an increase of 14.1 percent; and Granada, which recorded 173,439 and an increase of 9.5 percent.
After these, the metropolitan crown of the Bay of Cádiz was placed, where this method of payment brought together a total of 89,338 cards and concentrated a positive advance of 14.2 percent; the agglomeration of Almería, with a total of 33,954 and an increase of 25 percent; that of Jaén, with 26,344 and a positive performance of 15.4 percent; and that of Campo de Gibraltar, with a total of 18,568 titles and an increase of 16.8 percent.

The incorporation of these areas into the tariff integration has taken place progressively since 2004, the year in which the single card was put into operation in the areas of Granada and Bahía de Cádiz. The last to join was the metropolitan area of Huelva, in October 2012, so "it would not be possible to establish a comparison of growth between the two years," La Junta has indicated.
In this way, he stressed that the single card has "direct" savings for the traveler, who is given the possibility of using it both in urban and interurban buses, as well as in the maritime service of the Bay of Cádiz and in the Seville metro, "with discounts of around 30 percent on the price of a single ticket, and a significant saving of approximately 40 percent on transfers".
Likewise, the user can use it as a means of payment in the Renfe Cercanías services and allows them to access the free public bicycle loan services in the Seville, Bahía de Cádiz, Almería and Campo de Gibraltar consortiums to complete their journey after interurban travel.
The Ministry has indicated that the card can be obtained at any of the 1,917 points of the sales and recharge network, distributed by all the municipalities of the nine metropolitan areas. To do this, users have to pay 1.50 euros as a deposit, which will be returned if they stop using the card. The card balance never expires and recharges may be from a minimum of five euros up to a maximum balance of 500 euros. Until October 2013, users of the consortiums carried out "a total of 2.19 million operations in the sales network."
In this sense, the Andalusian Government has explained that "once the traveler has the card, he will only have to bring it to the reader located in the means of transport that he is going to use and the amount of the trip will automatically be deducted from his card.
